Jonah Hill credits Channing Tatum for latest weight loss

Apart from his acting chops, Jonah Hill has always been known for his chunky physique.

But since taking on more serious roles in recent years, the 33-year-old American actor has noticeably sported a much lighter figure.

After regaining over 40 lbs. for his role in “War Dogs” last year, Hill expressed his desire to shed the excess weight.

“I gained weight for this movie War Dogs and then I wanted to get in better shape,” he said in a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”

“So I called Channing Tatum, and said, ‘hey, if I ate less and go to a trainer, will I get in better shape?’”

Hill then credited his  “21 Jump Street” co-star for pushing him to lose the pounds. “He said, ‘yes, you dumb motherf**ker, of course you will, it’s the simplest thing in the entire world.’”

Aside from a strict workout regimen, he also credited keeping his food journal for his transformation.

The actor’s much slimmer physique, meanwhile, has been the talk of the town, with his most recent picture coming out of a workout in LA becoming a viral topic online.  Khristian Ibarrola /ra
