Keanu Reeves to cameo in ‘John Wick’ spin-off series
After the global success of the “John Wick” films starring Keanu Reeves, fans are now even more curious about the origin story of the seemingly indestructible assassin.
Such questions will finally be answered in the upcoming spin-off TV series “The Continental,” which will delve into the character’s history prior to the events of the film.
According to Indie Wire, Lionsgate Entertainment and “John Wick: Chapter 2” director Chad Stahelski are now developing the highly anticipated prequel for television.
“[It’s] got a really good structure,” Stahelski described the upcoming series. “It’s very tied to the film [in that] it’s about the Continentals all over the world, how certain people come into that world, and what happens in relation to those people, which is cool.”
He added: ”I think the world is very vast, and everything I’ve heard from it is very positive. It’s something that the studio seems very, very intent on [making] and very, very behind.”

He also expressed his desire to be hands-on in the show, alongside screenwriting partner Derek Kolstad.
“Currently, I’d like to stay involved throughout the development stage and hopefully direct a couple of episodes,” he said.
Earlier, Stahelski confirmed that they were already working on a script for John Wick 3, but had yet to release a possible air date. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
