Jodi Sta. Maria proves again that it’s never too late to reach your scholastic dream.
The actress, who turns 35 on Friday, enrolled at Southville International School and Colleges, where she will take up Psychology. Sta. Maria, who also finished high school in Southville, will be schoolmates with teen stars Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano.
“Overwhelmed ako kasi nakilala ko ‘yung mga professors ko (because I met my professors),” Sta. Maria narrated in one of the clips uploaded on her social media fan page. “I’m really excited and nervous at the same time.”
Thrilled by her newest milestone, Sta. Maria shared clips of her orientation, uniform fitting and her reunion with her former teachers and advisers.
After earning her college diploma, Sta. Maria revealed her plans to finish a college degree to inspire her son, Thirdy, to finish school.
“I think it’s also because partly I am motivated by my being a mother; I really want to put a premium on education, it’s because I have a son and I want to be able to set a good example,” she told reporters during a press conference last month. Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
