Jodi continues to pursue her dreams

THE BUSY actress looked for an education program that would allow her to juggle show biz and school work.

JODI Sta. Maria exudes a unique charm and demure persona— qualities that have captivated the hearts of audiences far and wide.

These endearing attributes have made famous the character of Maya, which Jodi portrayed in the popular soap opera “Be Careful With My Heart.”

Jodi, like Maya, has a strong resolve behind that sweet pretty face as she showed the grit and determination to achieve her dreams, notwithstanding the challenges and physical constraints that she faced. TV viewers had closely followed Maya’s struggles as a provincial lass who ventured to the big city to find means to support her family back home. Maya persevered and overcame those challenges to eventually become a flight stewardess. She turned her dream into reality.

Few people know that Jodi, despite her soap’s success, felt unfulfilled at that time because she had not yet finished her secondary education.

So like her character Maya, Jodi pursued her dream of earning a diploma. She looked for an education program that would allow her to juggle her erratic shooting schedule with school work. Finding a school that offers such a program was no easy task.

It was perhaps providential that during that time, Southville International School and Colleges had just developed an innovative program that meets Jodi’s needs. The program, called INNOVE Education Solution, is designed for students with unique concerns such as athletes, actors, singers and those who learn better in isolation.
