LOOK: Angel Locsin shares glimpses of war-torn Marawi
Without public announcement, actress Angel Locsin headed to Marawi with volunteer group Rural Missionaries of the Philippines to visit evacuation centers and distribute relief goods.
She has taken to Instagram to share photos of the now war-torn city, calling for peace and aid:
Her most recent post is of the city post-airstrike wrapped in billowing smoke:
Angel also recognizes people’s efforts to help one another on the ground amidst the conflict:
The “Darna” actress also took time to donate blood at a Red Cross:
Social Welfare secretary Judy Taguiwalo expressed her gratitude to the 32-year-old actress for her volunteering efforts:
None of us can be like Darna & fly to rescue people. But we can be like Ms. Angel Locsin & care for those in need like the Marawi evacuees. pic.twitter.com/fIHvI7lbHr
