Back off, haters: Britney Spears proves she will always be the “Princess of Pop.”
A clip bearing the pop star’s raw and unedited version of her 2003 hit “Toxic” has gone viral on YouTube since Monday. Amid speculations of lip-syncing her recent concert in Japan, Spears’ classic version of “Toxic” impressed fans and non-fans alike.
“It’s even better than the original version. I’m addicted,” one user commented on the video-sharing platform.
She has produced nine studio albums throughout her two-decade odyssey in the music industry and is known for her hits “Baby One More Time,” “Oops! I Did It Again,” “Piece of Me” and “Toxic.”
Unfortunately, fans raised a howl after Spears was caught lip-syncing during the first of her two gigs in Tokyo over the weekend. Upon removing her glitzy mask, Spears’ mic got entangled with her hair for seconds, which affected her “I’m A Slave 4 U” performance.
