“I almost forgot how it feels to simply be a daughter again,” the 32-year-old host and actress shared. “Adulting sure gets SO real. Thankful for family.”

While fans expressed happiness over the bonding moment, one fan raised a question.

A netizen clarified what she meant by the “father-daughter bond,” saying that the love between KC and Kiko was real even if he wasn’t her biological father.

However, the following reply proved contentious to KC and other netizens:

“I thought KC was beautiful because Gabby [Concepcion] is her father,” it read.

This prompted KC to step in and talk about her relationships with her two fathers: her biological dad Gabby Concepcion, and her mom Sharon Cuneta’s husband, Kiko:

“Please respect my relationship with my stepdad who raised me since I was 12 AND my papa who I also have a relationship with. There’s no room for negativity here.”

While the netizen said she was simply confused and there was nothing negative with her question, her comment prompted others to talk about what family meant:

The exchange may be a misunderstanding, but it looks like KC, who has stepped away from showbiz to do humanitarian work with the United Nations World Food Programme, is still lucky to have her family ties.

The post comes after her mom Sharon shared on Facebook that she “doesn’t want to go back home anymore” while in the U.S. for a personal vacation. JB
