Fans were tricked into believing that the hit ’90s sitcom “Friends” would be reuniting for one more season following a recent fake post on Facebook.

A certain “David Schwimer” posted a poster bearing the words “F-A-L-L-2-0-1-8″  and a logo of NBC, the TV channel in which the sitcom aired.

“It has just been made official! All 6 cast members have signed on and we’re back for one more season,” read the caption of the post, which was already taken down by Facebook.

Unfortunately, “Friends” fans realized the prank when the rogue misspelled David Schwimmer’s surname and his character name, Ross Geller.

The cast, composed of Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Maggie Wheeler, have repeated a couple of times that a “Friends” reunion will unlikely happen.

“I feel like I’m just constantly bursting that little bubble of hope, each and every time it’s asked,” Kudrow told Heat Magazine last month. “It’s been 13 years, 13 years of the same question and right now, or in the future, it’s not going to happen.”

She added, “Yeah, probably not. What’s it going to be about? Really, how is it going to work? This is what everybody is forgetting.”  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
