Former “One Direction” heartthrob Liam Payne and his girlfriend, singer and “X Factor UK” judge Cheryl Cole, have welcomed their firstborn baby boy who “we are all madly in love with.”
The couple shared the news with their followers on Saturday with a picture of Payne embracing his still unnamed son, who was born on Wednesday, March 22. “I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favorite memory I have so far,” Payne captioned his portrait.
Despite their 10-year age gap, Payne, 23, lauded his partner for fulfilling his dreams and supporting his musical career. “I’m completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she’s really made my dreams come true. We haven’t named him yet but he’s already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed,” he added.
He also thanked their fans for their incessant support. “Thank you to everyone for the love and supportive messages for myself and Cheryl Cole,” he tweeted.

Similarly, Cole confirmed the birth on her Instagram, revealing that her firstborn weighed 7 lbs. (3.5 kgs) and 9 oz. “Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival,” she exclaimed.
Back in 2008, Cole first met then-contestant Payne at the fifth season of “X-Factor UK,” but he qualified for the show in 2010 after his second attempt. It was then that he merged voices with then-hopefuls Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson to form the ultra-famous boy band.
A newly divorced Cole and Payne confirmed on Instagram that they began dating last year.
