Pokwang: Angel Locsin is ‘best Darna ever’
Just like any other “Darna” fan, Pokwang is saddened over the news of Angel Locsin’s withdrawal from reprising her famed role as the Filipina heroine.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page on Wednesday, the comedienne expressed her anguish that the actress, who played Darna in the GMA primetime series in 2005, won’t slip into the iconic suit for the forthcoming movie sequel.
“Kung totoo nga na hindi na ikaw ang gaganap na bilang Darna sobrang nakakalungkot [para sa’kin] (If it’s true that you are no longer playing the role of Darna, it will make me very sad),” Pokwang captioned her image of Locsin posing as Darna. “Para sa’kin, ikaw ang forever na Darna (For me, you are forever Darna).”

However, Pokwang stressed that Locsin should prioritize her health. Locsin dropped out of the project due to a recurring spinal problem.
