IMDb to stream ‘live viewing party’ Oscars show
For the first time in its history, the world’s biggest movie information website will be live-streaming its own Oscars companion show.
Set to stream via IMDb.com, Twitch and Twitter, the show “IMDb Live Viewing Party, Presented by OREO Chocolate Candy Bar” will be hosted by Dave Karger and Rachel Smith.
Based around the concept of a private viewing party, the show will feature several celebrity guests and industry big names who will all provide rolling commentary and pre-recorded interviews with Oscar nominees.
“This year, we are taking our coverage of the Academy Awards to an entirely new level,” said IMDb founder Col Needham. “We’ll be producing our first-ever VIP industry viewing party and companion show, which will stream live across the world.”
The show starts at 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Sunday, February 26. JB
