After having a stroke and being confined in an intensive care unit last November, GMA 7 comedian Boobay, whose real name is Norman Balbuena, seems to be recovering well, taking advantage of his break to do some traveling around the country. Aside from taking medicine, getting enough rest, and undergoing therapy sessions, Boobay vowed to—as his shirt in this Instagram photo taken in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, says—“laugh more.” “Para gumaling agad!” he wrote in a recent post.

While he related that it would take a while before he could get back to work, the “Unang Hirit” and “Celebrity Bluff” host remains thankful that he’s still alive. “Pinagbigyan pa ako ni Lord,” he said.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
