LOOK: Megan Young arrives in US for Miss World hosting

Megan Young has arrived in Washington, DC, in the US to host this year’s Miss World pageant.

In two Instagram posts on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Filipino beauty queen-turned Kapuso actress flew to that country’s capital and will meet with several Miss World contestants who are battling for the much-coveted crown.

After being crowned as 2013 Miss World in Indonesia, Young participated in a number of charitable activities led by the organization for two years.

She also hosted the franchise’s 2014 edition held in London, where South Africa’s Rolene Strauss was crowned as the winner.

Young will grace the coronation night on Dec. 18 at the MGM National Harbor in Maryland. The Philippines’ own Catriona Gray will compete against 116 women for the title.  Gianna Francesca Catolico
