Robbie pitched the idea of a sequel starring Joker’s psychotic love interest, following the worldwide success of “Suicide Squad” starring Robbie, Will Smith, Jared Leto and Joel Kinnaman. Aside from “Gotham City Sirens,” an earlier-planned “Suicide Squad 2” and a spin-off featuring Deadshot, Batman’s opponent played by Will Smith, are scheduled to start filming next year.

Despite negative reviews from film critics, “Suicide Squad” was one of the highest-grossing films this year, amassing $700 million (P33.4 billion) in global revenues.
