The stellar love team of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, colloquially known as “Kimerald,” is bouncing back through the upcoming ABS-CBN primetime series “Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin.”
In a series of Instagram posts on Monday, Dreamscape revealed the delightful reunion of the former “Pinoy Big Brother” sweethearts, who were last together in the 2012 rom-com flick, “24/7 in Love.”
The series, which will be directed by Dan Villegas, is about three spirited triathletes from different socio-economic backgrounds tangled in a “love triangle” and a race for success in their sport. The production company has yet to announce the target release of the series, ABS-CBN reported.
Kimerald’s teleserye will also feature Bing Loyzaga, Helen Gamboa-Sotto, Coleen Garcia, Ayen Munji-Laurel, and Jake Cuenca.
The comeback thrilled Kapamilya (ABS-CBN TV channel) fans and the hashtag #KimeraldIsBack flared up on Twitter. Most of the fans recounted the unforgettable times they wept, giggled and laughed upon watching the pair’s previous movies and soap operas.
Chiu, together with her rumored beau, Xian Lim, recently starred in the drama series “The Story of Us,” which ended in June, while Anderson is dating “How to Be Yours” leading lady Bea Alonzo. Gianna Francesca Catolico
