Adele has indeed “set fire to the rain” with her newest milestone in her singing career.

Her November 2015 album “25” has ascended into Diamond Status, or 10x Platinum, in the US in less than a year. According to Billboard, more than 10 million copies of her album were sold in the US, 9 million of which were in pure sales.

The “Hello” songstress, 28, previously aced the charts with her 2011 album “21,” which reached Diamond Status in less than two years. She is the second female artist to attain two Diamond albums since Britney Spears’ victorious launch of her albums “Baby One More Time” in 1999 and “Oops I Did It Again” in 2000.

Adele’s previous albums also performed well in sales. Her debut album, “19,” is now 3x Platinum while “Hello” is 7x Platinum.  Gianna Francesca Catolico
