Meaningful encounter
THE CARL Jung Circle Center, with the participation of the Pacifica Graduate Institute, presents “Salubungan on Depth Psychology: Our Psyche, Our Earth (Ang Kwentuhan sa Ilalim ng Punongkahoy),” on July 6 and 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Club Filipino.
The conference aims to bring about wider understanding of depth psychology, a multidisciplinary approach to therapy that draws on psychology, literature, philosophy, mythology and the arts as it explores subtle and unconscious aspects of human experience.
The theme of the conference takes its inspiration from Pope Francis’ recent encyclical, Laudato Si, on the care of our common home: Earth.
Jung believed that psychological disturbance is the result of a disconnection from the deeper personality he calls the Self. Founded in 2007, the Carl Jung Circle Center continues to offer workshops on Exploring the Self, Dream Interpretation, Romantic Love and other topics.
The Pacifica Graduate Institute is an American graduate school in California, whose motto is “anima mundi collende gratia (tending the soul of and in the world).”
