Jessica’s agency, SBS divided over radio appearance row
After solo musician and ex-Girls’ Generation member Jessica’s plan to appear as a guest at an SBS radio show on Monday was canceled, Jessica and SBS staffs’ reactions remain divided, leaving the public baffled.
Jessica, 27, was invited to the radio talk show “Lee Guk-joo’s Young Street” on Wednesday, but SBS “informed” the agency that Jessica is not appearing at the show and deleted a bulletin board where fans could ask questions about the singer “without any discussion,” according to the musician’s home agency Coridel Entertainment.
“We were not told why her appearance was canceled,” a source from Coridel Entertainment was quoted as saying.
However, SBS argues that Coridel Entertainment requested an exclusive appearance at the show. Initially, Cho Moon-geun Band and Jessica were to appear together on the show as guests, which was “refused” by Jessica, according to the station.
SBS instead put Jessica on another radio show of the same station, “Park So-hyun’s Love Game” to allow a solo appearance told a news outlet Mydaily
