The sister of veteran actor Julio Diaz is appealing for medical assistance after the actor was rushed to the hospital due to serious health condition.

In a GoFundMe page set up by Ana Marie Datuin on Saturday, she confirmed that her brother passed out after having severe headache last Friday, the same day he was hospitalized.

“CAT Scan showed the swelling of a vein that needs surgery within the next 24-48 hours.  If the surgery is not performed, an aneurysm is imminent which may lead to fatal damage,” she said in a page of the crowd funding website.

In her latest update on Saturday evening, Datuin said Diaz is still confined at a provincial hospital in Bulacan and yet to be transferred to another hospital that can facilitate the needed surgery.

“The problem is that the government hospital he will be transferred to is full. Now my son is looking at a private hospital to transfer him to. Time is ticking, I hope finding the right hospital that will take him will happen soon before it’s too late,” she said.

As of posting, 88 people were already able to raise more than $3,600 for the actor.

Earlier, Datuin wrote in the GoFundMe page that the surgery requires huge amount of money “that Julio does not have right now.”

“This is the reason why, I am stepping in on his behalf appealing to anyone who is being led by the Lord to give any amount they can to raise the money needed to get the surgery performed within the next few hours,” she said.
