The production team of the ABS-CBN afternoon drama “Tubig at Langis” has defended its lead star Cristine Reyes over allegations of rudeness from fellow actress Vivian Velez.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, the program denied Velez’s claim that Reyes asked her to leave a designated standby room that they shared during taping, and took responsibility for the supposed “miscommunication.”

A fiery Velez took to Facebook on Sunday to voice out her anger against the treatment she had been receiving from Reyes on set, detailing how the lead actress “would bang doors, shout at me, and sing ‘Goodbye, Farewell’ in front of my face while rehearsing.”

The program said the incident was very unfortunate especially that its cast, crew, and staff member had always had good working relations since they started production in October 2015.
Yuji Gonzales with Marinel R. Cruz
