‘Nilalang’ to be screened in more cinemas

The management of Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) agreed to add more screenings for the action-suspense thriller “Nilalang,” the film’s production team said in a press statement, citing public clamor.

On Monday, the film started to have additional screenings at Glorietta 4, SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM Marikina, SM Manila, SM Fairview, SM South Mall, SM Sta Mesa, Robinsons Galleria, Gateway, SM Iloilo, SM Lanang, SM Cebu, SM Bacoor, Robinsons Pampanga, Robinsons Metro East, Festival Mall, Market Market.

Movie enthusiasts may also catch the film at SM Mall of Asia, Trinoma, and Robinsons Ermita starting January 4.

The movie’s producers recently raised a howl after it was reported that it was removed from 34 cinemas.

“Nilalang,” topbilled by veteran actor Cesar Montano and Japanese star Maria Ozawa, won five technical awards at the recently-concluded MMFF 2015 Awards Night.

The film took home awards for best cinematography for Pao Orendain, best editing for Jason Cahapay, best musical score for Jesse Lasaten, best sound for Ditoy Aguila, and best special visual effects.
