‘Tis the season to make up–and kiss again

JOLIE AND VOIGHT. No more “family feud.”

JOLIE AND VOIGHT. No more “family feud.”

Stars are known for their temper, temperament and passionate loves and hates— which is why so many of them are at odds with one another at any given time!

Elton John versus Mariah Carey; Taylor Swift singing cattily about any and all of her past boyfriends; Kanye West against just about everybody else—these “tangling tandems” are only a few of the feuding stars who make the show biz tabloids profitably tingle—and jingle!

But, there’s Christmas with its sweetness and light and love for mankind still in the air, so a number of our famously tussling celebrities have decided to stop burying the hatchet—in their famous foes’ backs:

FEATURED STORIES

For starters, Angelina Jolie has reconciled with her dad, Jon Voight, after many years of resentment and estrangement. Ditto for Alec Baldwin and his daughter, and Jennifer Aniston and her dad.

The hope is that the “kiss and make up” mood is “catching,” and that other celebrity family or sibling feuds will get settled soon—like Jay Z and Solange Knowles, Julia Roberts and her brother Eric, and Liam and Noel Gallagher.

In that regard, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson appear to be over the hump as they’re feeling super-sisterly these days—may their reconciliatory tribe increase!

On the local TV-film scene, reconciliation is also happily and seasonably in the air, with Heart Evangelista and her parents finally coming to terms with her determined decision to become Mrs. Chiz Escudero.

In fact, the couple could get married again a year after their “wedding of the year” nuptials, this time with her parents finally, smilingly, approvingly in attendance.

Other star wars that have finally been resolved in time for the season of love, peace and joy include the Sharon Cuneta-Piolo Pascual imbroglio.

Former flame

—No bruised romantic feelings involved, Sharon was just “defending” her daughter KC against her former flame Piolo’s hurtful treatment.

The notoriously combative Barretto clan has also experienced the peace, beauty and relief of reconciliation, with Claudine finally letting bygones be bygones with her ate Marjorie and pamangkin Julia. The hope is that, with familial love in the air, Gretchen won’t be far behind.

For their part, the famously “gutzy” Gutierrez clan also needs a patch-up job—in their case, an end to the sore and hurt feelings between Mama Annabelle and her only daughter, Ruffa. —Please, Santa—we wanta!

A bruised stellar relationship that has already been fixed is the one between Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo. The once combative exes are now at least friends and costars—with chances of rekindling the romantic feelings they once felt for each other. Dear Kris Kringle, please—rekindle away!

P.S.: A final prayerful plea: May 2016 see the reconciliation of Andre and Kobe Paras with their estranged mom, Jackie Forster. That would make their respective fans really happy. —Joy to the world!
