Amid the controversy that rocked the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), Up Dharma Down lead vocalist Armi Millare on Monday shared her cover of the song “Tao” with “Honor Thy Father” lead actor John Lloyd Cruz.


Millare’s version of “Tao,” which was originally sung by Sampaguita, won the Best Song award in the MMFF.

As of writing, the video has garnered more than 234,000 views, 3,700 shares, and almost 10,000 reactions.

“Honor Thy Father” was disqualified by the MMFF executive committee from the Best Picture race for supposedly failing to disclose its participation as opening film in another film festival. YG
