Filipino-American jazz singer Amy Vachal took a break from her tried and tested strategy of flipping pop songs and turned to an emotional classic to vie for a place in the finals of hit singing competition “The Voice.”
The New York-based Vachal on Tuesday (Monday, US time) covered Bob Dylan’s “To Make You Feel My Love,” which was also made popular by Adele.
The performance was described as beautiful and emotional, with Vachal’s voice cracking near the end of the song.
She previously took on Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” and *NSYNC’s “Bye, Bye, Bye,” which consistently ranked high in iTunes compared to her competitors.
