Melai Cantiveros, celebrities pay tribute to Elizabeth Ramsey

Melai Cantiveros, whose successful “Your Face Sounds Familiar” campaign was marked by her spot-on impersonation of Elizabeth Ramsey paid tribute to the singer-actress.

In a post on her joint Instagram account with husband Jason Francisco, Cantiveros on Thursday said “May you rest in peace po Ms. Elizabeth Ramsey, you are a true inspiration to many and thank you for bringing happiness to Filipinos. We will miss you and salamat Kaayu Kay chance na masundog tka sa YFSF. #Condolencestothefamily #ElizabethRamsey.”

Ramsey, the mother of singer Jaya, passed away Thursday morning. She was 83.

Lea Salonga also took to Twitter to reach out to Ramsey’s family.

Meanwhile, actor Derek Ramsay said he was “saddened” to find out that Ramsey passed away. He called her a “wonderful human being with so much love.” IDL
