All’s well now between Maja and Gerald
Who says exes can’t be friends?
All is well between her and Gerald Anderson, according to actress Maja Salvador, who partied with her ex-boyfriend at the recent ninth Star Magic Ball.
“That night was a beautiful one. Gerald went to the party with his niece Lyra—she’s my baby. We’re really close. Lyra approached me and hugged me. They both said hello to me,” said Maja on Tuesday night at the launch of ABS-CBN’s newest digital product, Stellar.
“We didn’t avoid each other. We’ve been OK for a long time now,” the actress said. “Also, the night was special because I was able to achieve the look that I wanted for this year, through the help of my stylist Rex Atienza and designer Rajo Laurel.”
On her decision to go dateless at the party, Maja explained: “It’s not a big deal. It’s not like it’s my first time to attend the event solo. I was with Gerald for the past two years, but I can’t just grab a guy to be my partner this time. It might shock everyone. I also don’t want the press to make an issue out of it. I just want to keep things quiet for now.”

Maja is one of the Kapamilya stars endorsing Stellar, the network’s celebrity social media marketing agency that helps brands amplify their online presence and engage with their target audience by leveraging on celebrities’ online personas through social media.
According to ABS-CBN chief digital officer Donald Lim, Stellar’s goal is to empower social media campaigns for products and services through Star Magic’s more than 230 artists and their accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Stellar’s services extend to other ABS-CBN digital properties, said Lim, as it would amplify the reach of its brand campaigns by utilizing the social media accounts of ABS-CBN, Star Magic, “ASAP 20,” ABS-CBN Sports and its entertainment website Push.
Maja said she was very involved in terms of providing content for all her social media sites. DubsMaj, her version of the popular mobile app Dubsmash, is one of the most-viewed videos on YouTube.
“My accounts are really personal. I upload whatever I think is worth posting,” the actress told the Inquirer. “I’m just careful when it comes to posting photos of the causes that I support, especially my activities with the kids I help. I’m very much aware of bashers. I don’t want to give them the opportunity to say hurtful comments to me when all I want to do is help kids.”
