Robin Padilla reacts to Maria Ozawa comment: Our camp is at fault

After being called “unprofessional” by former Japanese adult film actress Maria Ozawa, actor Robin Padilla on Wednesday said his camp was at fault for backing out of their horror movie project 10 days before they were supposed to start shooting.

In a Facebook post, Padilla said it was only natural for Ozawa to react that way, adding that everyone “has the right to speak and fight for anything that they believe in.”

“Truly our camp is at fault. Let the camp of Ms Maria Ozawa voice out their pain. It’s natural, it’s organic … Again pray for my 3 in 1. Peace be with us all,” said Padilla, whose wife Mariel Rodriguez was expecting triplets.

Padilla’s manager Betchay Vidanes in an Instagram post said the actor decided to quit the project to focus on his wife’s pregnancy.

On Tuesday night, Ozawa took to Instagram to express her disappointment over Padilla’s pulling out of “Nilalang,” which would have been her first mainstream film project in the Philippines.

“It’s not that I really wanted to film with Robin but I think it was so unprofessional of him to call it off 10 days before the shooting starts,” Ozawa said.

Padilla’s statement was accompanied by a photo of a knife he supposedly prepared for his character in “Nilalang.”

“This is the knife that I prepared for the character of Tony in ‘Nilalang’ made by the native Sami tribe of Lapland, Sweden. The perfect real deal hunting knife for the FMA knife fighter Tony,” he said. YG/RC
