“I haven’t really asked my kids but they have so much love and respect for me that they just want to see me happy,” she said, adding that she could not think of anyone who would oppose a future wedding.

Her daughter Karylle, meanwhile, confirmed Padilla’s statement and expressed her support for her mother’s decisions.

“I love what she has right now. I’m happy that she’s so beautiful… I am very thankful and I just love seeing her like this,” she said. “Come what may, I will be there supporting them every step of the way.”

Despite being with her boyfriend for more than a year now, Padilla also said she never forgets about her late long-time partner “Comedy King” Dolphy.

“You know whatever happens in your life, I try not to delete people… I think [my album is titled ‘Beginnings’] because it’s a beginning of a new chapter,” she said. YG
