Life is too short for people to stay in one place. So we must travel as much as we can, like celebs who live out of a suitcase!
Smart Infinity (SI) has the perfect offer to match your wanderlust. It will make available the Samsung Galaxy S6 (SGS6) or S6 Edge, to those who will avail of the Prestige Plan 5000 or Premium Plan 8000. As bonus, chosen plans will also include complimentary Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles that may be used for international or domestic flights, along with concierge service and other perks that come with hotel bookings.
My media colleagues and I felt like we were shooting an episode of “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” when Smart flew us to Boracay for a luxurious overnight stay at Boracay Shangri-La Resort.
During the al fresco dinner hosted by Smart at Shang, we got to know the features of the SGS6 and S6 Edge.
“We are very excited to unveil these two premium devices with a package designed for the discerning set,” said Julie Carceller, head of the SI Business Group at Smart.
James Chi, marketing manager of SI, added: “We know that SI members are achievers who seek new experiences in life and leisure. Thus, we are providing plans that give our members devices that are tools for success. Plus the PAL Miles can help them celebrate their achievements with unforgettable vacations.”
In line with that, I asked some celebs about their most opulent travel experiences. The world will be a much better place as a playground than a battleground.
Ready, jet set, go!
China Cojuangco-Gonzalez: My husband, our baby Lucia and I went to Misibis Bay in Albay. It was a wedding gift from our ninong Bobby Horrigan. We stayed in two beach-front villas with a personal butler.
The resort staff prepared our meals in various set-ups and in different areas of the resort. We were able to do most of the activities, from ATV (all-terrain vehicle) rides to a sunset cruise. We were treated like royalty during our entire stay.
Aiko Melendez: Having dinner at Le Jules in Paris made me feel like an international star. It took me a month to score a reservation to have dinner on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower.
James Reid: The most extravagant experience I had was traveling business class to Doha. I usually travel on a shoestring budget.
Vina Morales: Last year’s trip with my sisters Sheryl and Shaina (Magdayao) was the most lavish so far. We enjoyed a seven-day Caribbean cruise and stayed in Paris for a week.
Jed Madela: My most expensive holiday was the solo trip I took to New York. I splurged on it. Though it was only a one-week break, it was worth every cent. I watched a Broadway
musical every night. And I bought souvenirs from every show. I dined in various restos in the city. I consider it an indulgence because I rarely have “me” time.
Amy Perez: My recent trip to South Korea was luxurious enough for me because I really am so simple. I stayed at the Plaza Hotel which is located in the center of Seoul. I had a breathtaking view of the city from my bed.
Shalani Soledad-Romulo: Every time we visit our home province (Catanduanes), it’s always like a fiesta. Our relatives spoil us. They take us to pristine beaches, old churches and historical sites.
Kapuso knockout
GMA Network is proud of its Kapuso, Manny Pacuiao, for fighting like a true hero in his recent boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
More Filipinos tuned in to GMA 7 to watch the epic battle, as its airing of the PacMay bout became the most-watched telecast based on National Urban TV Audience Measurement (Nutam) ratings (based on overnight data).
According to the widely trusted ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, the Kapuso network won in Nutam
ratings with an average household audience share of 47.4 percent.
The airing of the fight on GMA 7 also attracted the most number of viewers in urban Luzon and Mega Manila, where it beat competition by even bigger margins.
Knockout punch à la Kapuso!
