Rachelle Ann Go is new ‘Fantine’ in West End’s ‘Les Miserables’
Filipina singer Rachelle Ann Go was chosen as the new “Fantine” in London’s West End production of the hit musical “Les Miserables.”
The announcement was made on Monday through the Les Miserables official Twitter account.
Before bagging the role of “Fantine,” Go was picked to play the role of “Gigi” in the West End revival of “Miss Saigon” where she won the Whatsonstage Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical and Best Featured Actress in the BroadwayWorld West End awards.
Go took to Twitter to express her excitement for her new role.
“I guess it’s official! I will be FANTINE!!!! Aaaaaaaahhhhh!,” she said.
Tony Award winner Lea Salonga once played the role of “Eponine” during the 10th anniversary production of Les Miserables in 1993.
Go will join the Les Miserables cast on June 15.
