LOS ANGELES–Oscar-winning Australian actress Cate Blanchett and her husband have adopted a daughter, their fourth child, People magazine reported Friday.

The 45-year-old and screenwriter husband Andrew Upton — who recently announced they are moving to the United States — adopted a girl named Edith, the celebrity bible said, quoting her publicist.

The couple already have three sons: Ignatius, 6, Roman, 10, and Dashiell, 13.

A publicist for the actress did not immediately respond to a request to confirm the adoption.

The actress is set to leave her Sydney home to move to America later this year, according to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald last month.

Blanchett started out as a theater actress in Sydney, where she won critical and popular acclaim with a string of successes for the Sydney Theatre Company.

She was also joint artistic director with Upton of the company from 2008 to 2012 and is patron of the Australian Film Institute.

The couple previously spent nine years living in England. Upton said he wanted to return to writing while in the United States, according to the Herald.
