Jennie of Blackpink has officially announced the release of her solo album next year.
In a video uploaded on Christmas Day, Wednesday, entitled “Happy Holidays,” Jennie confirmed that the new album will drop in 2025, marking a significant milestone in her solo career.
Describing the album, Jennie teased a diverse range of genres and revealed that several tracks will feature collaborations with other artists. She called it “an album like a buffet, offering something for everyone.”
“This album reflects a chapter of my life told through music. I hope fans feel closer to me when they listen to it, and I’d love for the public to be pleasantly surprised when it’s finally released,” she said.
Reflecting on 2024, Jennie described it as “a year of many changes” and shared how working on her October single, “Mantra,” contributed to significant personal and artistic growth.
Jennie has continued to make her mark as a solo artist, with tracks like “One of the Girls,” a collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, and “Mantra” charting on the Billboard Hot 100. She is set to perform at the prestigious 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April, further cementing her status as a global artist.
