MANILA, Philippines—Actress Christine Reyes on Friday shared a photo of her newborn baby girl with boyfriend Ali Khatibi.

Reyes posted on her Instagram account a photo of baby Amarah, five days after giving birth to her last Sunday.

The 26-year-old actress shared how painful it was for her and Khatibi to leave the hospital without their “wonderful blessing.”

“It breaks my heart at the time when Ali and I have to leave the hospital without her in our arms. It’s sad but we have to be strong,” Reyes said in her post.

She also blasted her critics who said that Amarah’s premature birth was her fault.

“I did everything to make sure that she was healthy. I read books, [sought] advice from my in-laws, family, friends and professionals to make sure all was well. I just don’t think it’s fair when people judge me and [say] that it was my fault,” Reyes said.

She said she is also confident that her baby will be able to overcome her condition.

“Our baby is getting stronger every day and we will be with her throughout the fight.

“She’s our wonderful blessing. She will win this battle like a champ just like her father,” Reyes said.

Khatibi is a champion mixed martial artist.

The actress was confined on February 4, a day before her birthday.

She said she had been “put on total bed rest and wasn’t able to sit, move, and stand.”

She added she was on “heavy medication on my birthday and spent the day knockout.”

The actress on Nov. 19, 2014 admitted that she was pregnant after performing a production number on ABS-CBN variety show ASAP.

In previous interviews, Reyes said that she and her 30-year-old boyfriend have been talking about the possibility of settling down. NC
