MJ Lastimosa: No bitterness, regrets on failed Miss Universe bid
MANILA, Philippines—Miss Universe 2014 top 10 finalist Mary Jean “MJ” Lastimosa said on Thursday that despite failing to win the coveted crown for the country, she had no regrets.
“I was just grateful to be given the opportunity to represent the country and I hope I did well, that I really showed what a true Filipina is. Kaya ngayon, wala akong bitterness, wala akong regrets,” Lastimosa said upon her arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia).
The beauty queen also recounted her fond memories of staying in Doral City in Florida, the host of the 2014 Miss Universe.
“I think Doral City was very excited to have Miss Universe in their place. It’s their first time and it’s a young city. It was a great experience knowing all the girls, sharing what Filipinos are. And I think they embraced us, I think they love us there,” she said.
The North Cotabato beauty said she would be writing about her experiences on the pageant.
