Julia Montes dismisses pregnancy rumors

MANILA, Philippines—It’s been the nth time according to the actress.

ABS-CBN actress Julia Montes on Wednesday dismissed rumors she was pregnant in an article posted on Philippine Entertainment Portal.

Wala pa ngang boyfriend eh. Paano kaya? (I don’t have a boyfriend. How can it be?)” Montes said during a press conference for her upcoming film, “Halik Sa Hangin,” held at Dolphy Theater in ABS-CBN compound.

This is not the first time she was reported to be pregnant, said the actress. “I can’t remember how old I was then, but there were rumors,” Montes said in Filipino.

The actress has not been attending show biz events and updating her social media accounts in recent months, prompting some of her followers to speculate she might be in the family way.

Montes also scoffed at reports she went abroad to hide her pregnancy, saying she had been busy with work and attending family functions.

Pag walang work, lumalabas kami (We go out if I don’t have work),” Montes said of her family. “I really cherish bonding with them.”

The young actress also said she has recently made her Instagram account private.

Montes is set to team up with Gerald Anderson in the latest romantic-horror offering of Star Cinema showing on Jan. 28. RC
