Big Bang’s K-pop comeback in the works

bigbangIdol group Big Bang’s return to the K-pop scene is imminent, Korean news outlets reported Friday.

Leader G-Dragon hinted at the group’s comeback during a public event on Wednesday in Singapore.

“We have very big plans this year. Big Bang will be back with a new album, new tour, good music and good performance,” he said.

The agency representing Big Bang has not yet released any details about the group’s comeback.

The five-member group has been inactive since 2012, when it released the album “STILL ALIVE.”

While the group frequently expressed its intention to return to the local music scene, it continued to postpone the date, citing its time-consuming efforts to make a better album.

Unlike many other K-pop groups, Big Bang members do not depend on in-house producers to compose their songs but produce their albums on their own.

“We just want to make good music. Such work has not been completed. That’s why the new album release is being delayed,” G-Dragon said.
