MANILA, Philippines — Veteran TV host German Moreno, popularly known as “Kuya Germs,” suffered a mild stroke on Thursday, the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) reported.

“His right leg is at [50 percent] mobility. [Zero percent] on his right arm and a bit slurry on his speech,” Moreno’s son Federico told PEP.

Moreno, 71, is currently at the Acute Stroke Care Unit of the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.

“We humbly ask for your prayers for his quick recovery. Please pray for Papa,” he said.

He assured, however, that the veteran host is “OK.”

“It’s just that he cannot entertain any calls nor guests for the coming days. Hope you understand,” he said.

Moreno is the host of the long-running late-night variety show “Walang Tulugan.” FGM
