‘Quick Change wins in Taiwan

Eduardo Roy Jr.’s “Quick Change” won the Netpac prize at the Taipei Golden Horse (Taiwan) Film Festival last Wednesday. The jury cited the film “for its audacious and touching performances… [its] depiction of a warped yet bracingly realistic world in an unvarnished style.” The Cinemalaya film is also competing at the 8th Five Flavors fest in Warsaw and in São Paulo and Paris later this month.
