‘Transit’ in Vancouver

Hannah Espia’s “Transit” will be screened at the 26th Vancouver Jewish Film Festival (ongoing until Nov. 13).

The fest website commended the Cinemalaya 2013 winner for “employing a clever multi-linear technique [and] poetic opening and closing scenes [that] illuminate the social and economic struggle facing displaced people across the globe.”

It will be shown Nov. 9, 7 p.m. at the Fifth Avenue Cinema. Bayani San Diego Jr.
