AUNOR AND DIZON. Copacetic encounter.
Last month, “The Ryzza Mae Show” on GMA 7 was particularly viewable, thanks to its little host’s special guest—none other than local show biz’s “one and only original superstar,” Nora Aunor!
It was a bright idea for the show to pair Nora with the show’s own super child star, especially when it turned out in the course of their copacetic conversation that they were quite similar in a significant number of ways.
For instance, both came from impoverished origins, so they talked for a while about their separate but similar experience in terms of—simply not having enough to eat!
Nora and Ryzza went on to talking about other things, and as they did so, it was clear that they doted on each other. To initially establish their synergy, Ryzza asked Nora to paint a “Nora mole” on her cheek, and the effect was both funny and—quite apt!
To her credit, instead of “competing” with Ryzza for viewers’ ga-ga attention, Nora gave center stage to her little friend.
Epilogue
The “Ryzza-guests-Nora” telecast was such a fun view that we eagerly watched its follow-up show the very next day.
Alas, the follow-up telecast just dished out more of the previous day’s gimmicks, so it ended up as a dud—with a thud! They should have known when to stop—while they were ahead!
