Japanese rock band famous for anime theme songs hints at PH concert

MANILA, Philippines – Japanese rock band L’Arc-en-Ciel hinted of a possible concert in the Philippines, delighting many Filipino fans.

“What song should L’Arc-en-ciel use to open their first-ever concert in the Philippines?” the band posted on their Facebook page on Aug. 24.

The post has garnered over 1,500 likes and about 600 comments as of Thursday, Aug. 28.

The band did not reveal any concrete plans for a concert, but its official website held a survey “that could bring L’arc-en-Ciel to your city.”

“Venues for the next WORLD TOUR will be selected by votes from around the world,” the survey said.

The group, which was founded in Osaka, has sold over 15 million albums and millions of merchandise. Some of their songs were used in anime series and movies.
