Anne Curtis is one of ‘50 smartest stars’ on Twitter

MANILA, Philippines—Making it to the list of Time Magazine’s top 50 Smartest Celebrities on Twitter is Filipino actress Anne Curtis.

Curtis is number 28 with 6,667,346 followers on Twitter and has a grade level of 6.2, based on the Time’s ranking, tying with best-selling author J.K. Rowling and singer Ricky Martin.

“What a wonderful surprise to wake up to! Good Morning,” Anne Curtis said Thursday on her Twitter account referring the tweet of Time Magazine.

American actor Leonardo DiCaprio and Canadian singer Justin Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, are topping the chart with a grade level of 7.5 and 7.3.

According to Time, the ranking is based on a reading comprehension test known as Simple Measure of Gobbledygook (SMOG). The SMOG text measures the three syllables words used in a text to calculate the years of education required to understand it.

In finding Twitter’s smartest celebrities, Time said they analyzed the last 20 tweets from the 500 highest followed celebrities, and then ran the results through the SMOG test to calculate the reading level.

Curtis appears daily on a weekday noontime variety show and a fantasy series on ABS-CBN.
