MANILA, Philippines—In one of the darkest hours of his young life, Jam Sebastian, one-half of real-life lovers and YouTube sensation ‘Jamich’ with Paolinne Michelle Liggayu, thanked his older brother for taking care of his medical fees.

In his Instagram post from Tuesday, the younger Sebastian thanked Yexel Sebastian, who also gained fame for his toy museum, for shouldering his P20,000-a-day medication that would span four months.

“If you think about it ‘stress’ is the first thing that would pop in your mind since I don’t know where I would get that kind of money,” the younger of the brothers said on Instagram. “When my brother found out that I had cancer, he told me to not think about the fees as he would take care of it.”

Sebastian said that his brother is even willing to sell his toy collection, which boasts of a life-sized bust of “Transformer” Optimus Prime as the main piece, just to pay for the bills.

“He has his own dreams but he put it all on the side,” the younger Sebastian said.

The post, which carried a picture of the Sebastian brothers, had garnered more than 6,000 “likes” as of posting time. The ‘Jamich’ YouTube channel had enjoyed millions of views because of the couple’s videos depicting young love.

“Though we had that gap before, we’ve gotten closer through all of this and have shown our love for one another,” Sebastian said in another post.
