James Yap happy with agreement on child’s custody, visitation

MANILA, Philippines—The management of James Yap told the INQUIRER on Wednesday the top cager of San Mig Coffee is happy with the arrangement regarding the custody of and visitation rights over his son, Bimby, with ex-wife, Kris Aquino.

“Super happy si James Yap sa hearing kanina. Wala na syang hihingin pa dahil naging OK na lahat. (James is very happy in the [court] hearing a while ago. He couldn’t ask for more because everything is OK already.)” Yap’s management firm told the INQUIRER via SMS.

Aquino posted on her Instagram account the photos showing her and Yap shaking hands.

Aquino and Yap’s marriage was annulled two years ago.

In March last year, Aquino accused Yap of overstepping his boundaries and of attempting to seduce her while visiting her home, and of inflicting psychological harm on Bimby.

Aquino eventually filed a temporary protection order (TPO) from a Makati City court.

In the same month, a gag order was issued by a local court against the estranged couple, refraining them from commenting on their fight for custody of their son.
