Trial begins in UK case against famous PR guru
LONDON — The trial of public relations guru Max Clifford on charges of indecent assault is underway with jury selection at a central London court.
The 70-year-old Clifford was at Southwark Crown Court as jurors were instructed in the case, which could last up to six weeks.
Clifford, who represented a string of celebrities including TV talent show host Simon Cowell and reality television star Jade Goody, is charged with 11 counts of indecent assault on seven teenagers between 1966 and 1984.
Clifford denies the charges.
