Spain: Flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia dies at 66

MADRID— Spanish officials say world-renowned flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia has died. He was 66.

Jose Ignacio Landaluce, mayor of de Lucia’s native Spanish town of Algeciras said in a statement Wednesday the guitarist died in Mexico, where he lived.

The cause of death was not immediately made known.
