Weddings 101 for Heart Evangelista
GMA 7 actress Heart Evangelista knows that her new hosting gig, “Weddings TV,” could be perceived as a preparation for her own nuptials with Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero.
“It’s only natural for people to assume that,” Heart told the Inquirer. But no, she’s not engaged. “Yes, we talk about it. But there is so much going on in our lives right now. Bottom line is, we’re both very happy.” And that was delivered in rapid-fire fashion.
The senator knows about the show and, Heart quipped, “He’s excited for me. He knows that I love hosting.”
She has a full plate these days. Sundays, she’s on “Sunday All Stars” and “Star Talk.” She also has a daily soap, “Magkano Ba ang Pag-Ibig?”
“We call and text constantly,” Heart said of Chiz. “Sometimes he visits me at work, or sends food to the set. We make it a point to take time off together.”

Direk Marnie sees that Heart is having a ball with “‘Weddings TV.’ She [likes meeting] the suppliers. She says, ‘When I get married, I’ll get in touch with them.’”
For her own wedding, Heart envisions a “simple but elegant gown—timeless and classic.” She is considering a beach-front ceremony, “solemn and serene.” Only “people I love, who will be happy for me,” will be invited.
