Momoland to perform at UAAP season 81 kickoff

Korean girl group Momoland is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the UAAP season 81 in September.

“Guess who’s coming to the #UAAPSeason81 opening?” stated the official Twitter account of the National University last Saturday, Aug. 18. The UAAP season 81 host posted a video of its athletes dancing to the group’s hit song “Bboom bboom”.

In a separate Tweet, National University revealed that Momoland will indeed be kicking off the event.

Momoland is composed of members Nancy, Yeon Woo, JooE, Ahin, Hyebin, Nayun, Jane, Taeha and Daisy. The girl group announced that they will be visiting the Philippines on June 21 during a live stream on their Facebook account.

The Kpop group fulfilled the promise they made to their Filipino fans on Thursday, Aug. 16 as they arrived in the country to perform for a private event last Saturday, Aug. 18. While in the Philippines, Momoland was able to meet Sen. Manny Pacquiao and his wife, Jinkee Pacquiao, as well as former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson.

Aside from “Bboom bboom”, Momoland is also known for their latest single titled “Bbam”. JB
