Angelica Panganiban shares moving birthday greeting for her mom

Angelica Panganiban celebrated her adoptive mother’s birthday full of thanks and with a heartfelt message of appreciation.
Panganiban shared a post on Instagram showing her hugging her dear old mom. She writes, “Hindi naman na sikreto ang kwento ng buhay natin. Pero hindi ko pa nagsasabi sayo na, salamat. Salamat sa buhay na meron ako ngayon, na hindi ko ipagpapalit kahit pa papiliin ako.”
(The story of our life is not exactly a secret. But I have never told you “thank you.” Thank for the life that I have now which I would never exchange for anything, even if I was made to choose.)

“Salamat dahil kahit minsan, hindi ko natanong sa sarili ko kung paano ba magmahal ang tunay na ina. Minahal mo ko nang higit pa sa sarili mo. Salamat dahil hindi ko naramdaman kahit minsan na may kulang sa pagkatao ko,” Panganiban wrote. (Thank you because not once did I ever ask myself how a real mom loves. You have loved me more than you love yourself. Thank you because not once did I ever feel that there is something lacking in me.)
The actress found out in 2010 that she was adopted. She has remained grateful to the family that raised her. She lovingly refers to her adoptive mom as “Okja.”
“Alam kong hindi ko kayang tumbasan ang pagmamahal mo. Pero, mahal na mahal kita ‘ma. Lahat ng fats mo, mahal ko. Happy birthday Okja!” Panganiban closed. (I know I could never equal your love. But I love you so much. All your fats, I love. Happy birthday, Okja!)
