Kim Chiu hopes she has found Mr. Right
Has Kim Chiu finally found her “Mr. Right”?
Actress Kim Chiu on Tuesday said she hoped she had already found her one true love.
“Sana siya nga si Mr. Right … alam naman po natin kung sino ang malapit sa ’kin ngayon,” Kim said during the launch of her new album at Vanilla Cupcake Bakery on Mother Ignacia Street, Quezon City.
“Mr. Right,” composed by Christian Martinez, is the latest single in the actress’ album entitled “Chinita Princess.”
Kim said she dedicated the song to actor Xian Lim, who was also her leading man in the song’s music video which would be released soon.

From being a stranger from all the way across the world, you became someone I can trust, someone who will be there by my side, fighting and conquering battles of everyday life,” Xian said.
Kim said she was surprised Xian didn’t greet her on her birthday, April 19. She said the actor later explained to her that he feared she might not get his message due to the deluge of greetings she would be receiving that day.
“Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na may taong shoulder to cry on, na ’andyan lang siya lagi for me,” Kim said.
Chinita Princess, Kim’s gift to her beloved fans, includes five original songs and one revival.
She said her songs, which have a dash of pop, acoustic and ballad, reflected the current state of her heart and mind.
“Gusto ko kung ano yung nararamdaman ko ngayon, kung ano ’yung gusto kong iparamdam sa ibang tao, gusto ko nasa loob ng CD ko.”
Her secret for staying happy? “Express Yourself,” the sixth song in the album.
“Ayokong mag-stay lang sa ibang bagay na comfort zone ko. Gusto ko nakapalibot sa ’kin masasayang tao … ayokong i-dwell ’yung problema sa ’kin.”
For all the bashers who said that she couldn’t sing, she offered the upbeat track, “Say We Don’t Care.”
“Inunahan ko na sila bago pa nila tanungin bakit nag-release si Kim ng album,” she said.
In 2007, Star Music released Kim’s first solo album “Gwa Ai Di,” which received a gold and a platinum award.
Her first nationwide album launch on April 19 at Eastwood Mall was sold out. “The first time in the history of Star Music,” producer Rox Santos said.
“The songs are easy to sing along with and very relatable,” Santos added.
The other three songs included in the album are “Darating Din,” “Wala Man Sa’yo Ang Lahat” and “Someday (Crazy Love).” RC
